The Fleet Human Resources Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating with the shipboard and shoreside constituents of the Oceania and Regent Seven Seas Cruise ships in order to assist crew members, management and business owners. The position will also have responsibilities related to communicating updates and changes to policies, benefits and other human resources matters to all affected crew.
Oversee HR Managers aboard the Oceania and Regent Seven Seas ships. Provide guidance on HR matters, such as benefits, employee relations, crew enrichment, performance management and supervisory coaching.
Manage benefit enrollments and changes for crew, and perform monthly audits of benefits participants to ensure accuracy and to control costs.
Manage the logistics and execution and budget of all shipboard recognition and crew service programs.
Direct and manage all shipboard data integrity issues, working with multiple shipboard constituents on a weekly basis in order to ensure accuracy and to avoid potential program issues.
Manage hot line case dissemination. Coordinate with management team in order to properly investigate and resolve hotline cases. Regularly review and analyze hotline case data in order to identify and address negative crew/management trends.
Develop and create crew surveys; collect and analyze data from crew surveys/Exit surveys in order to correct and improve the crew experience.
Assist the department director to negotiate and resolve Union labor relations cases, in order to avoid complex legal matters.
Assist the department director in researching and resolving all Maritime Labor Convention issues to ensure compliance with the International Labor Organization and the respective maritime authority.
Develop, review, and update shipboard policies, procedures and Vessel Operation Manuals in order to clarify and streamline HR matters and operations; and to ensure that current procedures, practices and norms are in line with the company’s direction and with overall best HR practices.
Coordinate with the department Director to source vendors who could provide the Crew Holiday Gifts. Manage the ordering, logistics, budget and communication to vendors and ships in order to ensure that the correct gifts arrive to each ship in a timely manner.
Responsible to track company training across all ships to ensure that the crew/supervisors/managers are receiving the necessary training in a timely fashion.
Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and the SEMS, and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.
